Our Service

The Henrietta Senior Citizens service formerly the Dominican Day Centre was located in a Georgian Building at no 31a Upper Dominic Street. The Centre was established in the early 1970’s by the Dominican Community in the local parish, initially, as a service for the youth and the elderly. In the mid – 1990’s, the service decided to focus its effords with senior citizens.

In July 2004, the Daughters of Charity Community Services took over formal responsibility for the management and operation of the Centre following a two-year period of seconded management support.   In August 2008 the Service moved to its present position in No 9 Henrietta Street. Dublin 1.  During the month of September 2008 the service changed its name from the Dominican Day Centre to Henrietta Senior Citizens Service
