Established in 2002, the Henrietta Adult and Community Education (HACE) service of the Daughters of Charity Community Services is a dedicated community-based adult education provider located in the north west inner city area of Dublin.
While HACE has an open door policy, its primary target groups are the adult populations of the local authority housing complexes within the immediate catchment area of Daughters of Charity Community Services.

HACE has the following aims that guide its adult education work in the community:
- Based on a personal empowerment and community development approach, to support the adult population of the local communities, and in particular those adults experiencing educational disadvantage, in identifying, meeting and achieving their own learning goals;
- To support the capacity of community organisations and voluntary agencies to carry out learning activities with their participant groups through the provision of rooms, facilities and other supports, as appropriate.
Beginning in 2002 with 90 registered participants, HACE has grown from strength to strength, with approximately 250 registered participants in 2009.
HACE provides a total of 25 courses and activities for its participants, the majority of which are held over four evenings weekly for thirty weeks of the academic year.

Childcare FETAC Level 3 ・ Childcare FETAC Level 4 ・ Flower-Arranging ・ Hand-Knitting ・ Crochet ・ Stress Management ・ Spanish for Holidays ・ Home-Furnishings ・ Sewing for Beginners ・ Yoga ・ Drama with Smashing Times Theatre Company ・ One-To-One English ・ English Spelling ・ English Spoken as Another Language (ESOL) ・ Computers FETAC Level 3 ・ Communications FETAC Level 3 ・ Food and Cookery ・ Personal & Interpersonal Skills FETAC Level 3 ・ Art
